To manage returns and exchanges with Jarano, you must follow the general sales conditions applicable to food products.
Returns and Exchanges Process
Legal Period
You have 14 calendar days from the receipt of the order to exercise your right of withdrawal, provided that the product has not been tampered with or opened, in accordance with the regulations in force at the official JARANO store.
Product Condition
As these are perishable products (hams, shoulders, sausages), returns are only accepted if the product retains its original seals. If the piece has been started, a return will only be accepted for quality defects (e.g., abnormal flavor or non-compliant excess fat).
A piece of ham or shoulder is considered to be in poor condition when it presents an unpleasant smell or taste, resulting from an incorrect curing process (2).
The product must be returned in its original packaging (which must not show any breakage) and must be perfectly sealed to prevent damage to the product during transport back to our facilities.
For hams, shoulders, and sausages, at least 80% of the product’s weight must be returned. That is, started pieces where more than 20% of the product is missing will not be accepted.
Hams and shoulders must be returned with the original seals, tags, or labels, without these having been tampered with.
In the event that the product is returned and does not comply with the previous points, we will not be able to accept the return. In this case, you must bear the cost of return transport and reshipping.
If the shipment has not been opened and you simply regret the purchase upon receipt, do not worry; we will immediately refund your money (1).
If the product is in poor condition, we will replace the product or refund your money, at your choice. We will contact you to arrange the day for collection.
(1) Since the return is not motivated by any misconduct by JARANO, you will have to bear the shipping and return transport costs.
(2) Our products are tested by both the producer and our professionals when selecting the piece for each order. This double guarantee control allows us to drastically reduce the return rate.
Shipping Costs
If the return is due to voluntary withdrawal, shipping costs are usually borne by the customer.
If it is due to a defective product or an error in the shipment, the company assumes the collection and reshipping costs.
